Pimblett Picks The Winner Between Gaethje And Topuria

Paddy Pimblett has picked Justin Gaethje to upset UFC Lightweight Champion Ilia Topuria in the main event of UFC Freedom 250 at the White House on June 14.

Topuria enters the fight as a massive betting favorite, riding a streak of three consecutive knockouts over Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway, and Charles Oliveira. However, Pimblett warns that counting out Gaethje is a mistake. Pimblett suffered his first UFC loss to Gaethje at UFC 324 in January, missing out on the interim lightweight title. While Topuria is a master technician, Pimblett believes the “chaos” Gaethje thrives in will be the deciding factor. And given Gaethje will have the home advantage, he has picked him to beat Ilia.

“I’ve got a sneaky suspicion that Gaethje might pull off an upset here and surprise everyone, but as you know, it’s a fist fight. “It could go either way. Anyone could beat anyone. In the White House, he’s probably going to have a little bit more motivation to go out there and win because it’s in front of his president and his home country,” Pimblett said
