“Pitbull” Cruz Rules Out Gervonta Davis Rematch

Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz (28-3-2 18 KOs) is reportedly no longer expected to face Gervonta Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) in Davis’ return fight.

Cruz had been considered a natural comeback opponent given their shared history — Davis defeated him by a close unanimous decision in 2021. This development surfaced alongside news that Cruz has joined long-time Canelo Alvarez trainer, Eddy Reynoso, to help him shape the next phase of his career.

Since Cruz is now not an option for Davis, Tank could possibly turn to 3-division world champion Vasiliy Lomachenko (18-3, 12KO), who’s set to come out of his 2-year retirement, and is reportedly eyeing a fight vs Davis after saying he only wants “Big Fights”.

“Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz is now being trained by Eddy Reynoso. Also being told that he will NOT be fighting Gervonta Davis next.”
