Plant Stops Lee in Three

It was a quick night of work for Caleb Plant, as he dropped Mike Lee three times en route to a finish and a first successful defense of the IBF Super Middleweight Championship.

The bout took place as part of the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) undercard for Manny Pacquiao vs. Keith Thurman.

From the start, Plant had a strategy of constantly moving around the ring to avoid Lee’s punches, and it worked and helped the defending IBF champ take control from the start and not look back. Plant scored his first knockdown of Lee with a hook directly to the face.

Plant continued to make Lee miss in the second, and in the third, Plant dropped Lee early with a four-punch combination. Lee gets up, and at this point, Plant has landed 46 shots compared to just seven from Lee. Plant caught Lee with a hook on the inside and dropped him once again. Lee got up and became very aggressive, desperately looking for any big shot despite not having his legs under him completely.

Plant then dropped Lee one more time with another left to put the fight in the books.
