Poirier Joins Analyst Team For UFC 303

Dustin Poirier has fuelled suggestions that he is retiring after joining as an analyst for UFC 303.

Poirier will join Teddy Atlas, Chael Sonnen, and Brendan Fitzgerald. The commentary team consists of Jon AnikJoe Rogan, and Daniel Cormier. Megan Olivi is the sideline reporter, and Din Thomas will cover the analysis. Poirier took the postion after losing to Islam Makhachev at UFC 302, as he suffered a fifth-round submission.

Poirier will now watch Alex Pereira defend his UFC Light Heavyweight Title against Jiri Prochazka. Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler was called off after McGregor withdrew with a toe injury. While Poirier could have provided valuable insight, having faced McGregor three times with a 2-1 winning record, fans will still get to see ‘The Diamond’ in a different role. But he did hint that he could be retiring.
