Pollard Gains European Title

While four nations shined in the finals of the Junior European Championship, England’s Kelly Petersen Pollard came through and lived up to her potential.

Petersen Pollard walked into the European championship weekend looking to make history, and was able to skate into the finals before facing off against European Cadet Champion Ai Tsunoda.

Facing off against the Spanish Judoka, Petersen Pollard found a way to surpass the Cadet Champion and become the first British Judoka to take the European Title in the U70kg division, also becoming the first English competitor to win a judo title since Luch Renshall.
