Povetkin: Joshua Tougher Than Klitschko

Alexander Povetkin is open in saying that his September 22nd fight against Anthony Joshua is the biggest challenge in his career.

The former Olympic gold medalist and world champion, faced Wladiimir Klitschko in 2013 for the same WBA, IBF, IBO and WBO titles he vies for on Saturday night.

Even with Klitschko knocking down Povetkin four times in the fight, Povetkin feels that Joshua is a bigger hurdle.

“I would definitely say Joshua is a bigger challenge than Klitschko,” Povetkin said to Nick Parkinson.

“Since the fight with Klitschko a lot of time has passed, and I can assure you that I’ve become stronger, I’ve become wiser, I’ve become smarter, so I will definitely treat this fight in a different manner, and more professionally.”
