Price Overcomes A Resilient Aquino To Retain Her Unified Welterweight Titles

In a homecoming that tested her throughout, Lauren Price (10-0, 2 KOs) successfully defended her unified welterweight titles (WBA, IBF and WBC) by beating a resilient Stephanie Piñeiro Aquino.

Price utilized her footwork to dictate the pace in the opening rounds, peppering the Puerto Rican challenger with sharp lead hooks. By the middle rounds, Aquino—the WBA interim champion—found her range, catching Price with heavy counters that opened a significant cut and left the champion visibly bruised.
