Ramirez-Ahmed Draw 741K Viewers

ESPN’s latest venture with Top Rank, a doubleheader featuring Gilberto Ramirez drew an average of 741,000 viewers, according to ratings released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research.

Per a report from Boxing Scene, Top Rank’s last event on December 9th, headlined by Vasyl Lomachenko and Guillermo Rigondeaux, averaged 1.73 million viewers

Ramirez head into and out of the fight as an undefeated super middleweight champion, while his opponent Ahmed,  was completely unknown among American fight fans before Saturday night.

Ahmed also was making his first ever fight outside of his native Ghana, since turning pro.

Ramirez completely vanquished Ahmed, forcing his corner to concede in the sixth round at American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
