Ramirez vs. Hart 2 Likely Coming In December
Before WBO super middleweight champion Gilberto Ramirez can close out the year, he may end up fighting an old opponent.
According to ESPN’s Dan Rafael, Ramirez could potentially fight former title challenger Jesse Hart in December with the fight taking place on a Top Rank Boxing card taking place at the ESPN+ streaming service.
Not done yet but good chance there will be a rematch between @RamireZurdo & @1hollywoodHart on Dec. 14 on ESPN+. #boxing #ZurdoHart2

The two had previously fought a little more than a year ago on a pay-per-view bout in California. Thanks to a second down knockdown from Ramirez, he retain the WBO title by a slim margin on all three judges’ scorecards in a unanimous decision.
Since then, Ramirez has been a dominant champion, winning both of his following title defenses on ESPN cards this year. The first one was a sixth-round TKO win over Habib Ahmed and the latest title defense was a wide decision victory over Roamer Alexis Angulo. Ramirez has made four total world title defenses since winning the belt in 2016.
As for Hart, who was undefeated coming into the 2017 loss to Ramirez, he has been making short work of all of his opponents. Hart won all three fights this year by TKO, winning the NABF super middleweight title in the process and reaching the No. 1 spot in the WBO’s 168-pound rankings.
