Rampage Jackson’s Son, Raja, Reaches Plea Agreement In Battery Case

Earlier this week, a representative of the District Attorney’s Office revealed that a plea bargain has been agreed upon in Raja Jackson’s battery case stemming from an incident last August.

Raja, the son of former UFC champion Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, was hosting a live stream during a pro wrestling event when the incident occurred. During one match, Raja entered the ring and viciously attacked Stuart “Syko Stu” Smith, with whom he had shared words earlier in the evening. Because of the attack, Smith sustained serious injuries, including a fractured jaw, broken facial bones, and several lost teeth due to the numerous unanswered punches that he absorbed while unconscious.

With the plea agreement in place, the 26-year-old Raja Jackson is likely to face 90 days in jail with “restitution of $81,703.38; and two years formal probation.” According to the New York Post.

In the weeks following the incident, Rampage spoke out against his son’s actions, indicating that he felt his son should serve jail time for the incident. Additionally, he mentioned that he does not condone any action of this nature, and he felt his son was bringing dishonor to the Jackson name.

“I’m not cutting him off forever. I just haven’t talked to him. I talked to him after the s— happened, and he hid the fact that he did this. He put my other kids in danger. I’m not saying I’m never going to talk to him again, I just can’t talk to him right now. “I just need some time. I’m dealing with his attorneys, but I’m very disappointed in Raja,”

Rampage Jackson held the UFC light heavyweight title between 2007 and 2008. He retired from fighting in 2019 after his last match with Bellator MMA, retiring with a record of 37-14 through his career that began back with Japan’s Pride FC in 2001. Some of his biggest moments in the UFC include wins over legendary names in the sport such as Chuck Liddell, Dan Henderson, Lyoto Machida, and Wanderlei Silva.
