Rashad Evans open to fighting Logan Paul or Roy Jones
Rashad Evans (19-8-1), the MMA veteran who rose to fame for his UFC stint, has hinted at coming out of retirement.
Evan’s manager Ali Abdelaziz has confirmed that the former UFC champion doesn’t mind facing YouTuber Logan Paul or boxing legend Roy Jones if the deal is lucrative.
The 41-year-old bid adieu to the UFC after he lost his fifth fight in a row to Anthony Smith in 2018. He was never the same fighter losing to Ryan Bader in 2015 at UFC 192.
Evans is not the only veteran of the combat sports who is eyeing a return ever since the Paul brothers stirred a new wave of exhibition boxing matches. His former UFC colleagues like Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren have also either participated or preparing to make their boxing debuts soon.
Logan Paul hasn’t yet commented on the news. The YouTuber recently competed against Floyd Mayweather that ended in a no contest. He is, however, yet to win any boxing fight unlike his younger brother Jake Paul who hasn’t yet lost any fight.
But for the hardcore boxing and MMA fanatics, a showdown between Evans and former boxing world champion Roy Jones Jr. would be a treat to watch since both have experience of competing at the highest level in their respective sports.
