Ray Borg Pulled From UFC Denver

UFC flyweight Ray Borg has suffered another professional setback, as the former title contender has been pulled from UFC Denver.

Borg was set to face Joseph Benavidez on the card on November 10th in Denver, but as confirmed by MMA Fighting on Wednesday, has suffered another medical issue.

Borg has had a troublesome year beginning with an illness he suffered while cutting weight to face then-champion Demetrious Johnson at UFC 215 and would then suffer a loss to Johnson the next month at UFC 216.

A fight between the two would be rescheduled but cancelled following Borg’s newborn son’s diagnosis and battle with brain cancer, which would see fans across the world donating to Borg in a time of need.

A new opponent will not be found for Benavidez, who has fought once since December 2016.
