Referee and Judges Set For Cyborg-Holm

 Herb Dean will be the person in charge of the action, when Cris Cyborg defends her UFC women’s featherweight title against Holly Holm at UFC 219.

Dean was unanimously selected by the Nevada Athletic Commissio to oversee the championship bout . He will be paid $1,800 for the night’s work.

Additionally, Las Vegas regulars Derek Cleary, Dave Hagen, and Chris Lee were selected to judge Cyborg vs. Holm, which headlines the UFC’ 219 on December 30th. All three judges will be paid $1,500 to work the contest.

Cyborg captured the UFC women’s featherweight title with a third-round TKO over Tonya Evinger in July. She is an undefeated 3-0 in the UFC and has not lost in 19 straight bouts dating back to 2005. Cyborg is widely considered the No. 1 pound-for-pound female fighter in the sport.

Holm  snapped a three-fight losing streak with a vicious third-round knockout of Bethe Correia in July. A former champion boxer, Holm drew worldwide recognition in 2015 for her stunning head-kick knockout of former UFC superstar Ronda Rousey. Holm suffered a controversial title loss to Germaine de Randamie in her only MMA appearance at 145 pounds.
