Regis Prograis: ‘I’ll Whip Adrien Broner’s Ass’

Regis Prograis thinks he’d have his way with Adrien Broner.

Prograis and Broner have traded barbs in the past. Broner hasn’t competed since January 2019 against Manny Pacquiao. He has been holding out for a $10 million payday. While he’s been eyeing a showdown with Ivan Redkach, Prograis is letting it be known that he’s more than willing to welcome Broner back inside the boxing ring.

Here’s what the former WBA Light-Welterweight Champion said during his appearance on The PBC Podcast, Prograis weighed in on how a bout with Broner would go (via BoxingScene.com).

“I don’t think it’s bad blood. To be honest, I don’t think Adrien Broner has bad blood towards nobody. He’s just a clown. Everybody knows he’s a clown and stuff like that, you know. But I don’t think it’s bad blood. It’s not bad blood, but it’s definitely competitiveness. It’s not it’s bad blood between me and him, where we genuinely don’t like each other. He don’t really know me, and I don’t really know him for it to be like bad blood and stuff like that. So, I say I’ll whip Adrien Broner’s ass. That’s all. I’ll say I think I can stop him. I think I’ll be the first person to stop him.”

Prograis is scheduled to compete on October 31. He’ll throw leather with Juan Heraldez on the same card as Gervonta Davis vs. Leo Santa Cruz. The action will be held inside the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
