Remembering The Incredible Floyd Mayweather Vs Conor McGregor 2017 Press Tour As The Two Fighters Are Rumored For Rematch

The 2017 fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor produced some of the greatest buildups to a fight that the boxing world has ever seen.

It seemed very unlikely that the fight would actually come to fruition at first. However, a deal was eventually reached between Al Haymon, Mayweather’s advisor, and UFC president Dana White which saw the bout confirmed for August 26, 2017 as a Showtime PPV.

Most people expected to see the braggadocious McGregor trash talk as usual, but it was unknown how Maywether would respond. Although, once they met face to face, it was clear that Maywether would not hold back.

Large crowds packed 10,000-capacity arenas in Los Angeles, Toronto, New York and London during the press tour. McGregor even went as far as to wear a suit he later revealed said ‘f*** you’ in the pinstripes.

The American got his chant also as he labeled McGregor, ‘Easy work’. But it was the popular Irishman who controlled the majority of the audience and got them to scream, ‘F*** the Mayweathers.’

When they got to London, the audience skewed even more in McGregor’s favor, with the audience chanting ‘sit down, shut up’ rang around the arena whenever Mayweather tried to speak

When the fight finally happened, it was still clear that Mayweather was the dominant figure inside the ring.

McGregor has always stated that he would eventually return to boxing, and now it looks like he may be able to right the wrongs of 2017 as it now rumored that the pair are in talks for a rematch.
