Report: Is Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul Real?

Rumors have been swirling regarding a potential boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul.

Mayweather is regarded as the biggest star to enter the sport of boxing. His brass attitude and skills inside the boxing ring made fight fans either love or hate him. Through it all, one can’t deny that Mayweather is all about the money, hence his nickname. So the thought of a matchup with someone such as YouTube star Logan Paul isn’t quite out of the realm of possibility, is it?

Numerous reports claimed that Mayweather vs. Paul is set for sometime this year. TMZ Sports has updated this to confirm that while the exhibition bout has been pitched, no one has signed a contract.

TMZ caught up with Paul on Wednesday to get some more dirt on the status of a potential clash with Mayweather. The YouTube sensation responded with the following.

“You know I can’t say sh*t right now.”

Mayweather was last seen inside the boxing ring back on December 31, 2018. He took on Tenshin Nasukawa in Saitama, Japan. This was an exhibition bout that saw Mayweather finish his opponent in the opening frame. Mayweather reportedly earned $9 million for the fight.

As for Paul, he suffered a loss in his first pro boxing match back on November 9, 2019. He met fellow YouTube star KSI. The two had faced off in an amateur bout that ended in a majority draw. Paul lost the rematch via split decision.
