Report: Mitchell-Rosa Scheduled For UFC Oklahoma City

Two featherweight stars are looking to gain some serious momentum on May 2. BJPenn.com was the first to report that Bryce Mitchell and Charles Rosa will face off at the UFC’s Oklahoma City show.

Signed after competing on The Ultimate Fighter 27, Mitchell (12-0) is 3-0 in the UFC. “Thug Nasty” won two bouts in 2019, his last one being a submission win off of Matt Sayles in December. He ended up receiving a Performance of the Night bonus and the Submission of the Year award for performing a twister.

Coming off of a Performance of the Night effort himself, Rosa (12-3), beat Manny Bermudez via armbar submission back in October. He is 3-3 in his last six fights, trading off wins and losses while also earning several Fight of the Night bonuses. The first came against Dennis Silver (loss via unanimous decision) and the other came against Shane Burgos (loss via TKO).

UFC Oklahoma City will take place inside the Chesapeake Energy Arena. The main event is scheduled to be Chris Weidman returning to middleweight to take on Jack Hermansson.
