Vargas and O’Shaquie had to be pulled apart

Rey Vargas and O’Shaquie Foster will be putting on a show live on Showtime from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, on February 11th, 2023.

Both of them are two-division world champions, with Vargas boasting a record of 36-0 and 22 KOs, while Foster is at 19-2 and 11 KOs. The bout will be a 12-round world championship fight for the vacant WBC junior lightweight title.

In the second most significant bout on the card, Jovanie Santiago (14-2-1, 10 KOs) and former titleholder Mario Barrios (26-2, 17 KOs) go head-to-head in a 10-round welterweight bout. 

Whereas to start the main card, Viktor Faust (11-0, 7 KOs) and 2016 Olympic athlete Lenier Pero (8-0, 5 KOs) will compete in a 10-round heavyweight match. Prior to the fight, the fighters weighed in to make the event official.

Foster and Vargas had to be pulled apart after they successfully weighed in. Both men put on a show for the photographers and then Foster became angry when Vargas put a hand on him.
