Ricardo Malajika Stops Jackson Chauke To Become A Two-Weight Champ

Ricardo Malajika became a two-weight world champion after stopping Jackson Chauke in the second round to become the IBO Flyweight Champion.

Malajika targeted the body before landing a solid right hand over the top, which snapped Chauke’s head back in the first round. The challenger also got his jab going as he beat Chauke to the punch. He backed up Chauke near the end of the first with a straight right on the ropes.

The fight was then soon over. Malajika sent Chauke to the canvas with a left-right combination in the second. While Chauke beat the count, Malajika followed up with another flurry to drop Chauke. The latter failed to get up, giving him his first stoppage loss. The win made Malajika a two-weight champion after his IBO belt at junior bantamweight.
