‘RIP To This Warrior’: PFL, Former Bellator Fighter Jordan Young Found Dead
American Top Team announced that Jordan Young, a PFL light heavyweight prospect, died at the age of 27 on Sunday.
Young’s cause of death is unknown at this time.
ATT issued a brief message on Twitter regarding Young and expressed condolences to his family and friends.
“It’s with a heavy heart, we have learned about the passing of our teammate Jordan Young,” the gym shared in a statement.
“Our team is shocked and deeply saddened by this news. A great teammate, he will be deeply missed by all of us. Thoughts and prayers to his family. RIP to this warrior.”
Young was a former Bellator fighter who has lately found success in the PFL.
Young has a professional MMA record of 12-2, but many fans will remember him for how his last bout went down.
In October, Young most recently won the 2021 PFL Championships with a spectacular knockout victory over veteran UFC fighter Omari Akhmedov.
Young earned perhaps one of the finest comeback victories of the year after being buried and dominated in the opening two rounds.
Young was largely anticipated to be a significant player in the league for the 2022 season and beyond. His death is still being investigated.
