Roach Claims Manny-Loma In November

As written on Tuesday, Manny Pacquiao is all but set for a return in April for the Jeff Horn-Terence Crawford card in April, at Madison Square Garden, but now there is a new wrinkle for a major fight in November.

Per a report from the World Boxing News, if Pacquiao is successful against his yet to be named opponent on April 14th, he may get a chance to battle Vasyl Lomachenko in November.

Lomachenko, who is currently aiming for a fight with Jorge Linares at 135 pounds, and Pacquiao have been bantering at one another via social media and Pacquiaos’ trainer Freddie Roach was quoted as saying that following the alleged Linares fight at 134 pounds, Lomachenko and “Manny will meet at 140 (later in the year).”

For Lomachenko, who dominated Guillermo Rigondeaux in December, the fight’s with Linares and Pacquiao present him the opportunity to become a star attraction and potentially become the focal point of Top Rank’s agreement with ESPN, but Lomachenko’s team has denied that a fight with the Filipino star is even a matter of discussion.
