Roach Touts Pacquiao’s Strength

Manny Pacquiao has returned to the Wild Card Boxing Gym, as he prepares for the first defense of his WBA “regular” welterweight title on January 19th.

In his first camp with Pacquiao in over 18 months, Freddie Roach is high on his fighter’s chances. “Training camp has been no day at Palm Beach for Manny or his sparring partners,” said Roach.

“You can tell that the word is leaking out on how strong Manny is looking in camp by the reaction on Wall Street yesterday. Even the market is bullish on Manny. I rate Manny as a strong buy at the MGM Grand’s Race & Sports book.”

Roach joins Buboy Fernandez as the lead trainers for Pacquiao’s return to Las Vegas against Adrien Broner. Broner, who recently fell into more legal trouble, looks to take the WBA crown away from the FIlipino senator on Showtime Pay Per View from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
