Roach vs. Zepeda Set: Vacant WBC World Title

Lamont Roach (25-1-3, 10 KOs) and William Zepeda (33-1, 27 KOs) will meet for the vacant WBC lightweight title on August 1 at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

Roach enters the fight off back-to-back draws against Gervonta Davis (March 2025) and Isaac Cruz (December 2025), though the controversial nature of both scorecards have earned him another world title opportunity. Meanwhile, Zepeda was most recently beaten by Shakur Stevenson in July 2025 in WBC lightweight title clash but is looking to bounce back with a statement performance.
