Robbie Lawler Re-enters UFC Top Welterweight Rankings

Former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler has entered in the UFC’s top 15 again.

Lawler (28-15) has took the vacant stop at No. 15 of the top 15 fighters in UFC’s welterweight division. He trails behind Muslim Salikhov and Sean Brady.

Lawler is currently in a victory drought. He’s lost in his last four fights but has a shot of redemption against Nick Diaz (26-9) in a rematch on September 25.

Diaz defeated Robbie via KO, but since then, both fighters found their way.

Since Brazilian jiu-jitsu expert Demain Maia became a free agent, he has been removed from the list. Several fighters moved up by one position like Muslim Salikhov who climbed to No. 14.

Meanwhile, in the bantamweight, Jimmie Rivera has been cut from the UFC due to some contract problems. Marlon Vera moved to No. 13, Cody Stamann to No. 14, and Raulian Paiva enters as the new No. 15 ranked bantamweight contender.

There are no other significant changes in rankings, including middleweight division. The previous UFC event’s headline was a middleweight clash between Jared Cannonier and Kelvin Gastelum.

Since Cannonier won against lower-ranked fighter, and Gastelum lost against higher-ranked, no ranking changes were made.
