Robert Whiteford Picks Up Win At ACB 87

Since being released by UFC in 2016, Robert Whiteford has put together three-fight win streak at ACB, with his most recent win being a split decision victory over Kane Mousah one day after the two had a heated face-off.

Whiteford notched his third consecutive winning the main event of ACB 87 in Nottingham, England by using his ability to effectively clinch Mousah throughout the first two rounds of the fight. Mousah did manage to land a strong left hand midway through the third round, but it ended up not being enough for Mousah to win on at least two of the three judges’ scorecards.

The fight headlined a 14-fight card that saw all but four fights go the distance. One of those fights to end quickly was former UFC fighter and The Ultimate Fighter alum Andre Winner picking up a win over Adam Aliev with a rear-naked choke. The win was Winner’s first since a 2016 victory over Abner Lloveras.

In the co-main event bout of the night, Piotr Strus continued an impressive unbeaten run with a win over former Bellator fight Fernando Gonzalez via split decision. Strus has not lost an MMA fight since 2014, winning four fights and tying in two since his last loss.
