Robert Whittaker Goes 7-0 In Pro MMA Career – August 26, 2011 (This Day In MMA History)
Ten years ago today, Robert Whittaker extended his professional MMA record to seven victories, no defeats.
Whittaker (24-5) finished Corey Nelson with an armbar in the second round with 20 seconds left. This was the seventh and final win of his streak before being halted by Hoon Kim in the LFC in October 2011.
Whittaker has became a well-known name in the UFC, taking on big name opponents like Jacare Souza, Kelvin Gastelum and Israel Adesanya. Fans were looking to Adesanya versus Whittaker 2, but per his manager, that’s been pushed back to 2022.
