Roberto Soldic shared his thoughts ahead of his debut in ONE championship.
At ONE on Prime Video 5, which takes place on December 2, Croatian MMA star and newcomer Soldic will make his anticipated promotional debut.
The Dagestani welterweight Murad Ramazanov, who has never lost, will face him in an attempt to win a world championship.
Ramazanov might be characterized as a significant step up in competition for Soldic.
“Robocop” discussed the level of competition he will face in ONE and whether or not he is prepared for it in an interview with The MMA Superfan on YouTube:
“ONE Championship has different guys, stronger guys. It’s going to be hard and tough but I’m ready for it and that’s why I signed up here, to take on some other combat sports — kickboxing match, Muay Thai matches but for now MMA, for sure.”
Fans in the United States and Canada with an Amazon Prime subscription may watch ONE on Prime Video 5: De Ridder vs. Malykhin for free on Friday, December 2.
Soldic will enter his first encounter with the troubled ONE Championship circle on a seven-fight winning streak with six knockouts. He has also succeeded in prestigious European fighting leagues, including KSW, FFC and Superior FC.
‘Robocop’ is undoubtedly the most well-known fighter to emerge from Croatia since the great Mirko Cro Cop.
When questioned if the attention he’s receiving has put any strain on him, Soldic responded:
“It’s a little bit of pressure, but nothing special. I use this pressure in my fights and training. I put in hard work. I don’t take time to relax. I’m focused on my goals all the time. And it’s not easy, of course, but people expect always that I finish my opponents and everything. This is also more pressure than normal but I handle it well. I don’t have any problems with that. I stay grounded, trying to be humble all the time with the guys, with the sparring partners, with my family, with my friends.”
