Rogan Calls UFC Freedom 250 “Greatest Night In Combat Sports History”

Following the culmination of UFC Freedom 250, which saw Justin Gaethje achieve a massive upset stoppage win over Ilia Topuria to claim the lightweight title, Joe Rogan declared UFC Freedom 250 the greatest night in the history of combat sports.

Although Rogan had previously expressed reservations about the event, he was on hand to provide color commentary and conduct post-fight interviews for the seven main event bouts, which all ended in stoppages, which is part of the reason Rogan considered the show the greatest.

“This is the greatest night in the history of combat sports and the greatest night in the history of MMA by far. There’s nothing that’s ever going to top this until something does,” Rogan

Rogan was particularly moved by the resilience Gaethje showed in surviving Topuria’s assault before turning the fight around.

“Those rips to the body, those left hooks to the body were so nasty, he got hurt so bad, he almost got finished…And for him to come back from that, it makes it all the more sweet. To do this at the White House — there was something about him shadow boxing with the American flag wrapped around him when he was warming up. Your heart’s filled. You couldn’t script it any better,” Rogan
