Romero-Costa Call For Shot At Adesanya

With Paulo Costa allegedly out until at least July, the UFC middleweight division is without a challenger for its champion.

The division that has been in a state of flux the past few years is now helmed by Israel Adesanya, who won the undisputed crown earlier this month at UFC 243.

While Costa recovers from an injury, former title challenger, Yoel Romero, took to Instagram to call out Adesanya for a title shot.

“Hey Israel, why you say I see you boy, why you say I see you soon boy? No, no, no, you don’t need to say something like this,” Adesanya said on Instagram. “Give me the (expletive) date. Give me the (expletive) date. Tell Dana White the (expletive) date, alright? That’s it.”

Costa, who claims to be less injured than indicated by the UFC, decided to jump into the comments and claim that he’s next-in-line for the new champion

“O my goodness, are you alive?” Costa said. “Stay cool wherever you [are] cause this funny skinny clown is my prey. I’ll defeat him on (sic) April, as I did with you, old Cuban.”
