Ronda Rousey Fires Back At Kayla Harrison

Ronda Rousey (12-2-0) launched a verbal attack against reigning UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Kayla Harrison (19-1-0).

The tension started when Rousey shared a story about a training session where she allegedly dominated the mats. Harrison immediately fired back, calling the anecdote a “blatant f*** lie.” Kayla and Rousey were former Judo training partners under coach Jimmy Pedro at Pedro’s Judo Center. During her presser for the Gina Carano May 16 fight, Rousey didn’t hold back.

“The only reason [Kayla] has a job at the UFC is because of me, and Kayla is so irrelevant that she couldn’t keep the 145-pound division around. And honestly, she’s so sour because no matter what she does or what she accomplishes, she can’t change the fact that she has the charisma of a wet towel and will always be in mine and Gina’s shadow,” Rousey said

As of today, Harrison has not issued a formal rebuttal to the latest comments. The 135-lb champ is currently focused on rehabilitation following a neck injury that forced her out of UFC 324 in January, where she was slated to defend her title against Amanda Nunes.
