Ronda Rousey Is Heading Back To Hollywood

Following Ronda Rousey’s return to MMA for a non-competitive Netflix fight in which she sunbathed Gina Carano in just 17 seconds, Rousey is set to assist with the production of an MMA drama series titled “Brawlers”.

While details are being kept under wraps for now, the series will be based on the amateur crime scene in Los Angeles, and will be filmed on location. Harold Perrineau, who is best known for his role in the hit series “Lost”, will star in the show.

Rousey remains one of combat sports’ most decorated names. Following winning a bronze medalist in judo at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, she went on to become the UFC’s first-ever Women’s Bantamweight Champion and the promotion’s first female Hall of Famer.

She later moved to WWE, where she won multiple titles and became the first woman to main-event WrestleMania, alongside Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. Rousey departed the company in 2023, had a brief stint on the independent wrestling circuit, and then retired — before returning to MMA to beat Gina Carano. Hollywood is familiar territory for Rousey, who has previously appeared in The Expendables 3, Furious 7 and Charlie’s Angels, among other credits.
