Ronda Rousey Records One Of The Fastest Wins Ever – February 28, 2015 (This Day In MMA History)

Ronda Rousey had one of the fastest victories in a women’s title fight, ever.

Seven years ago today, Rousey (now 12-2) submitted Cat Zingano (now 12-4) within 14 seconds of the first round in the main event of UFC 184.

It took Rousey a 14-second armbar finish of Zingano to defend her women’s bantamweight title. That came just after Rousey recorded a 16-second knockout of Alexics Davis at UFC 175.

She was the first American female to earn an Olympic medal in judo at the 2008 Summer Olympics. She was part of the UFC’s first ever female fight at UFC 157 and holds the record for most UFC title defenses (6) by a female.

Rousey retired from MMA in 2016 and is currently signed to WWE.
