Rousey Briefly Appears at Weigh-Ins

Well, that was unexpected.

The UFC 205 weigh-ins were full of hype, as the countdown is on to tomorrow night’s event at Madison Square Garden in New York City. After the weigh-ins for the three title fights, filled with preview hype videos and intense staredowns, Joe Rogan then announced a preview of the UFC 207 main event.

A recap of Ronda Rousey’s last bout and the "hot potato" situation of the women’s bantamweight division was then shown. Then Rousey suddenly appeared, introduced to the crowd by Rogan, and the crowd went nuts.

And then, in a flash, she was gone. Right before Rogan could get a word with her after the staredown between her and women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes, the former champ stormed off the stage, though flashing a smile at some fans while doing so.

This left Nunes to do mic work solo, and he talked about finally getting to face the face of the UFC women’s bantamweight division.

"She’s the fight I asked for," Nunes told Rogan. "I’ve been training for this girl my whole career in the UFC, and now I have the chance to defend my belt against her. It’s going to be amazing. Are you guys ready for this battle?"
