UFC Hall of Famer and former WWE wrestler Ronda Rousey made an unannounced appearance at AEW Revolution, as AEW President Tony Khan stated she is welcome anytime.
Rousey arrived in the immediate aftermath of a match between Marina Shafir and “Timeless” Toni Storm. Rousey’s presence allowed Shafir to land a blindside “cheap shot” on the former AEW Women’s World Champion. During the post-fight presser, Khan said Rousey is welcome. Khan also mentioned that Rousey has personally invited him to be cageside for her upcoming MMA return on May 16 against Gina Carano, her first MMA fight since her knockout loss to Amanda Nunes in 2016 at UFC 207.
Ronda Rousey is a huge star, so we have a great relationship with her. She’s wrestled for me before in ROH, and she’s always welcome here in AEW anytime. She’s got a big fight coming up against Gina Carano. I don’t know Gina Carano at all. Ronda’s always been very good to me. I wish her the best,” Khan said
