Rousey First Woman To Main Event Wrestlemania
Ronda Rousey’s star continues to rise outside of the Octagon, as the former UFC champion will headline the WWE’s Wrestlemania event on April 7th.
Rousey, who may leave the sports entertainment brand following April to start a family with former UFC heavyweight Travis Browne, will defend her title on the 35th annual event from Metlife Stadium, a year after her first pro wrestling match at the same event.

Rousey and fellow former UFC champion, Brock Lesnar’s starpower is a reported to be a reason why the WWE would sign a $1 billion deal to air on FOX beginning in October.
Also rumored for the event and the WWE’s move to FOX is involvement by UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, who has wanted a fight with Brock Lesnar since winning the title in 2018 at UFC 226.
