Ruiz Jr Set To Be Joshua’s Opponent
After two weeks of speculation, it seems that Andy Ruiz Jr. will be the man to face Anthony Joshua on June 1st at Madison Square Garden.
Ruiz, fresh off a victory on April 20th over Alexander Dimitrenko, will return to camp with under a month away from a fight with the unified world heavyweight champion.
The fight was first reported by Fox Sports and The Ring writer Mike Coppinger, who took to Twitter on Monday afternoon.

This will be Ruiz’ second attempt at a world title, following a December 2016 loss to former WBO world champion Joseph Parker.
While no word has come from Anthony Joshua’s camp or that of promoter Eddie Hearn, an official announcement is expected Tuesday per a report from Sky Sports on Monday.
