Russel’s Crowe’s MMA Drama Drops New Trailer

A brand-new trailer for the MMA action-drama “Beast”, which hits U.S. theaters on April 10, has been released.

Daniel MacPherson stars as Patton James, a former MMA champion, who has spent years away from the sport. He is pulled back into the cage for one more fight to protect his family. Oscar winning actor Russell Crowe, who co-wrote the screenplay, plays Sammy, a veteran coach who once made Patton a legend and returns to train him for the fight.

The trailer footage introduces Patton under the guidance of Crowe, who tries desperately to remind him of his greatness, continuously motivating and pushing him. The trailer features sequences filmed during actual ONE Championship events, including scenes shot at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, this past January.
