Ryan Garcia, Emmanuel Tagoe Almost Exchange Punches At Open Workouts

Ryan Garcia (21-0, 3 KOs) and Emmanuel Tagoe (32-1, 15 KOs) will have to wait until Saturday to get their hands on each other. However, if Wednesday was a trailer of their fight in a few days’ time, we can expect fireworks in Alamodome.

During the open workouts on Wednesday, Tagoe had called out Garcia to come into the ring for a stare-down. However, the duo wasn’t just looking each other in the eye, but almost exchanging punches.

The American looked to be walking away after the stare-down when he and the 33-year-old kept looking at each other. As people around them tried to decrease the temperature in the ring, the Ghanian wasn’t intimidated.

“What do you think will happen? We can settle the dispute right here right now. The game can be over today, I promise you that,” Garcia said.

Earlier this week, Tagoe stated that the American was afraid of him, which was why he didn’t want to fight him in January 2021. Instead, he went one-on-one against Luke Campbell, whose resistance ended in the seventh round.

“I don’t think Ryan has a chance against me. He was already afraid of me last year, so I don’t think he has anything in his arsenal to hurt me,” Tagoe claimed.
