Ryan Garcia Offers Help To Former World Champ

WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia (25-2) reached out to former four-division champion Adrien Broner (35-5-1) after a video that sparked widespread concern regarding Broner’s current well-being.

The footage below shows a disoriented Broner asking a cameraman for assistance to pay for an Uber ride, promising to reimburse him at a later date. Garcia, who has been vocal about his own battles with mental health, addressed Broner directly. Garcia used his platform to extend a helping hand.

“Sad to see, AB if you see this call me. Let’s get you situated. No need to keep drinking. Let’s be better. Not judging let’s lock in,” Garcia

Broner has not competed since his unanimous decision defeat to Blair Cobbs in June 2024. Several rumored “comeback” bouts at welterweight have failed to materialize due to weight issues and training camp disruptions.
