Ryan Garcia Rooting For Gervonta Davis To Knockout Hector Luis Garcia

Garcia is slated to face Davis in April.

Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis has received prop-ups from all over the boxing world, but he will have an unfamiliar devotee for his upcoming fight against Hector Luis Garcia.

Tank Davis will be facing Hector Garcia on January 7 at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. before getting into the business end with the King Ryan.

Ryan Garcia and Tank have reportedly agreed to a showdown this April. But the fate of that fight will totally depend on the Davis-Luis scramble – among other things.

If Tank comes out victorious which he is likely to do, the fight with the Mexican-based Californian will go ahead as planned.

But before the mammoth clash, both fighters have taken an opposite approach with Tank lining up a tune-up fight against Luis while Garcia denied the same tilt with Mercito Gesta.

Garcia wants Tank to knock out Luis so that the public remains interested in their clash.

“[Hector Luis Garcia is] just not on Tank’s level,” Garcia told Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated.

“I want Tank to knock him out cold. It will make our fight even more interesting.”

And with the broadcasting terms settled, the fight between the two of the best lightweights seems very close to reality.

Showtime, which has been distributing Davis’s bouts, will be heading the PPV while the event will also be available on DAZN to purchase.
