Ryan Garcia Says He’ll Target Gervonta Davis After Luke Campbell Fight
Ryan Garcia wants a piece of Gervonta Davis after his bout with Luke Campbell.
Garcia is set to do battle with Campbell on January 2. The bout will be contested for the interim WBC Lightweight Championship. It’ll take place inside the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
Garcia hasn’t been shy in calling for a battle with WBA (Regular) Lightweight and WBA (Super) Super-Featherweight Champion Davis. The two have been trading barbs back-and-forth over the past few months. Garcia and Davis haven’t let up.
“KingRy” took to his Twitter account to make it clear that he’s going after Davis if he defeats Campbell.
Ima have to put boxing on my back after Luke I’m coming straight for tank 💪🏽

Davis responded with a warning to Garcia.

Garcia was quick to fire back at “Tank.”

Garcia comes into his bout with Campbell holding a perfect pro boxing record of 20-0. He has scored 17 knockouts along the way. “KingRy” last fought back in February, scoring a first-round knockout victory over Francisco Fonseca.
Davis is fresh off a “Knockout of the Year” contender against Leo Santa Cruz. Davis is also undefeated with a record of 24-0. With Davis fighting for PBC on Showtime and Mayweather Promotions, it’ll be interesting to see if he can get a bout with Golden Boy Promotions’ Garcia.
