Ryan Garcia Signs Endorsement Deal With Gatorade
Ryan Garcia has made history with his new Gatorade endorsement deal.
Gatorade has announced a partnership with Garcia. The 22-year-old becomes the first American boxer to sign a deal with the sports-themed beverage juggernaut.
During a press release, Gatorade’s global head of sports marketing, Jeff Kearney, said the following on this historic partnership.
“We pride ourselves on fueling all types of athletes, and those who compete in combat sports, a world we’ve supported for many years, are no exception,” said Jeff Kearney, Gatorade global head of sports marketing. “Bringing Ryan on at the national level in the U.S. only strengthens that commitment, and it is a testament to his talent and work ethic.”
Garcia also chimed in, saying the deal with Gatorade is a dream come true.
“A few years ago, I posted on social and tagged Gatorade to get their attention, so being the first professional boxer to sign a national deal in the U.S. with them is a dream that turned into a reality,” said Ryan Garcia. “Gatorade has been studying and working with the best athletes in sports for decades, many of which I admire, and I’m excited to bring positive attention to the sport of boxing.”
Up to this point, Garcia has amassed a pro boxing record of 21-0. He’s scored 18 knockouts along the way. Garcia recently captured the interim WBC Lightweight Championship after knocking out Luke Campbell in the seventh round.
