‘Sad’: Cris Cyborg Responds To Cat Zingano’s Accusation

Ever since the Cris Cyborg-Cat Zingano Bellator title fight was reportedly called off, the two have been exchanging words through the internet.

Cyborg, the Bellator featherweight champion, was slated to protect her belt against former UFC title challenger Zingano. But Cyborg revealed that Zingano did not agree to the fight while Zingano explained on social media that she denied the offer because Cyborg did not want to get drug tested.

“Cat Zingano, why are you lying?” Cyborg responded.

“I haven’t refused any drug tests. I’m ready whenever you are. Behind the scenes you keep saying to Bellator you need more time to prepare for me, you need a different opponent first, now you go on social media with lies and smear campaigns and excuses? Sad.”

Cyborg recently protected her belt in Bellator against Irish fighter Sinead Kavanagh. She earned another first-round finish within 92 seconds.

Zingano is one of the fighters who managed and defeated former UFC double champion Amanda Nunes back in 2014.

However, she lost the title fight against Ronda Rousey and left the promotion after suffering defeat against Megan Anderson. In Bellator, she earned two victories out of two bouts.
