The GLORY 62 Heavyweight Tournament winner Jamal Ben Saddik and Antonio Plazibat, who is currently ranked #1 in the Glory Kickboxing Heavyweight division, refuses to square off against each other.

Both fighters have talked to the press about this match-up, and they have both stated that they will only do it, if something big is on the line – like the world title.

Jamal Ben Saddik is the tallest fighter signed to Glory Kickboxing. He stands at 6’9″ / 206 cm – he debuted back in 2011 at the age of 21 by knocking out Rico Verhoeven. Verhoeven is the current Heavyweight Champion of Glory Kickboxing.

Saddik has quietly fought cancer previously whilst still fighting professionally for Glory Kickboxing. He was declared 100 % cancer free by the doctors in 2018.

Plazibat is the number one ranked Heavyweight as of right now, and he has done extremely well since signing with Glory Kickboxing. He has been awarded the following titles:

  • 2021 GLORY Most Improved Fighter of the Year
  • 2019 GLORY Newcomer of the Year
  • 2019 GLORY Fight of the Year
Antonio Plazibat vs. Tarik Khbabez

Fans will have to wait for the #2 and #1 ranked Heavyweights to fight, since Glory Kickboxing has quarantined them until further notice.
