Saunders To Drop Ingle For Davison

Following rumors he is following Tyson Fury to ESPN, former WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders may bring in the same trainer.

Saunders has released longtime coach/trainer Dom Ingle this week, and is rumored to training with long-time friend, Ben Davison, who is currently the head trainer of Tyson Fury.

The former middleweight champion has been mired in controversy the past few years, dealing with injuries, failed drug tests, and issues with the law, but may look to turn things around by aligning himself with Davison.

Saunders has been training with Ingle since 2017, but has only fought twice since bringing him on-board, the first being against David Lemieux in December 2017, the second nearly a year later when he stopped Charles Adamu.

A potential April 13th return at Wembley Arena was set for Saunders to face Shefat Isufi for the vacant WBO super middleweight title, but has been in-limbo since former champion Gilberto Ramirez claims he had not vacated the title.
