Scott Coker: ‘I Didn’t Even Know UFC Had A Card’

On Saturday, Bellator 268 and UFC fight night 195 took place simultaneously.

The headliner of UFC Vegas 40 was a female’s featherweight bout between Aspen Ladd and Norma Dumont. At the same time, Bellator made a light heavyweight title bout between Vadim Nemkov and Julius Anglickas at Bellator 268.

“You know, honestly I didn’t even know they had a card tonight. That’s the truth. I focus on my business, I focus on what we’re doing,” Bellator President Scott Coker said.

According to the comments on social media, UFC had one of the “worst” fight cards while Bellator outweighed in action with a title fight and a five-rounder battle in the co-main event.

Dumont took Aspen Ladd to the distance and won via unanimous decision. In the co-main event of UFC Vegas 40, it was also a unanimous decision win handed to Andrei Arlovski over Carlos Felipe.

Meanwhile, at Bellator 268, Nemkov bloodied his opponent, Anglickas, in the fourth round and got a step closer to the light heavyweight title via submission. In the co-main event, Corey Anderson ended Bader in the first round by dropping him.

“I think we’re doing some great things… I think we’re back doing what we do best, we’re back on the road, and putting on great fights, and I think that’s what we did tonight,” Coker added.
