Sean Strickland Vs. Alex Pereira In Works For UFC 277

The middleweight division is witnessing new stars.

Sean Strickland and Alex Pereira are just a couple of those new stars, and the UFC is reportedly targeting a bout between them for UFC 277.

Pereira is the only guy who managed and served Israel Adesanya, the current UFC middleweight champion, via knockout. Pereira defeated Adesanya twice under kickboxing rules.

He is also the two-division kickboxing champion in Glory Kickboxing.

In MMA, he held six battles and earned five victories with four by way of knockout.
The 34-year-old fighter is not interested in fighting Adesanya because, as he said, he already defeated The Last Stylebender twice.

Pereira has held two fights in the UFC already. He defeated Bruno Silva, a very experienced MMA striker, in his latest appearance.

Meanwhile, Strickland is undefeated in the middleweight division.

For this moment, he is on a six-fight winning streak. Strickland defeated a number of respected fighters like Brendan Allen, Uriah Hall and Jack Hermansson, to name a few.

Strickland earned 25 victories in his career and suffered defeats three times. One of his losses is against the welterweight king, Kamaru Usman.

UFC 277 will be held on July 30 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. No other fight is scheduled for this event.
