Sean Strickland’s Dominant Win Propels Him Towards A UFC Championship Shot

In a thrilling showdown at UFC Vegas 76 on July 1st, 2023, Sean Strickland showcased his undeniable prowess as he emerged victorious in the main event.

Facing off against the unranked Abus Magomedov, Strickland delivered a second-round TKO that left fans on the edge of their seats.

This much-needed triumph follows his recent setbacks against Alex Pereira and Jared Cannonier, solidifying his position as a top contender.

With his latest triumph, Strickland was not shy about asserting his worthiness for a championship opportunity.

“Man, it needs to happen, you guys, We all know Izzy’s been on repeat. They thought Abus could challenge me, but I proved them wrong. Every time the UFC brings in new blood, like that Frenchie I fought before, I send them packing. I’ve done it time and time again. Give me the damn title. I’ve earned it,” Strickland

Furthermore, Strickland highlighted his previous victories against the UFC’s rising stars, further cementing his claim for a title opportunity.

“Remember the guy they were hyping up? I took him on just three days’ notice and defeated him in an epic five-round battle, winning every round. I’ve paid my dues. It’s time to give me that shot,” Strickland

Strickland is yet to finalize his next move, but if he continues in the same form, then he may get his opportunity.
