Shakur Stevenson And Artem Harutyunyan Make Weight

Shakur Stevenson and Artem Harutyunyan made weight ahead of their July 6 lightweight clash.

Stevenson makes the first defense of his WBC Lightweight Title, which he won by beating Edwin De Los Santos in his last fight. This will be Shakur’s final fight with Top Rank, as he is open to exploring other opportunities. The De Los Santos performance was booed, and Shakur later stated he had an injury coming into the fight.

Artem, meanwhile, faces the biggest test of his career. A victory get him his first world title. The German lost to Frank Martin in his last fight. However, he was outboxing the American before he took a knee in the last round. That swayed the decision in Martin’s favor. Shakur weighed in at 134.1 pounds, while Artem weighed 134.8 pounds.
