Shakur Stevenson Hints At Eminem Walkout

Shakur Stevenson has implied that Eminem could introduce him to the ring for his next fight.

Stevenson is preparing to face Edwin De Los Santos on November 16th, 2023, for the vacant WBC 135-pound title. And given that Stevenson is looking to increase his profile, having Eminem alongside him would certainly add that much-needed exposure. The rapper also happened to walk out Terence Crawford for his ring walk against Errol Spence Jr.

Bud delivered on fight night, with a devastating ninth-round stoppage to become the first undisputed welterweight champion of the four-belt era. Prior to the fight, however, Stevenson had the chance to meet the rapper, who was equally a fan of Shakur. With that being said, Stevenson refused to rule out the rapper walking him into the ring.

“I actually met him the night before [the fight]. He told me he was a big fan and actually he is a big fan because when he saw me he was like ‘man, two of my favourite boxers, I finally get to meet them. Nobody can beat you man, it’s just too hard to hit you man.  I don’t know, we’ll see, we’ll see [if he walks me out,” Stevenson

If that were to happen, then Stevenson would very much have to produce a performance worthy of such an introduction. And since the boxer is not known for stopping his opponents, with only ten stoppages in 20 fights, Shakur may have to produce something special to captivate the fans. But with Eminem potentially by his side, the fighter would be halfway there already.
